2010 Quilt Show – Silent Auction

Last year’s Silent Auction raised more than $1500.00 thanks to the generous donations of Soroptimist and Ocean Wave members and others in the community.  And, of course, thanks to the purchasers of all these donations.  The profits from the Silent Auction are part of the Quilt Show income that is used for Youth Scholarships and Educational Grants for Women, as well as contributions to many service groups in our community. 

Karen Coverston and Shirlee Paoli are the Silent Auction Committee again this year, and are asking for your help in gathering items for the auction.   It’s time to box up the things that are collecting dust in a closet, well-meant but unused gifts, whatever!  Remember your trash may be someone else’s treasure.  

Small things can be grouped together; last year a basket of odd aprons and kitchen stuff sold for $25.00! 

Bring items to a meeting or call Karen or Shirlee to arrange a pickup.  If an item has a story or history be sure to share that along with the value (if known), anything is welcome.  Helpers to staff the auction booth are also welcome; there is a lot of activity at this booth!
