Your new officers to be installed are here before you.
Congratulations to each of you. I know each of your club members will do what ever you ask them to do to carry out the goals for the coming year.
The theme President Jeanne has chosen for her year is “The Gift of Soroptimism” This brings to my mind colorful & beautifully wrapped packages. It is always fun to open our gifts. So for each of the new officers I have a gift for you to open.

You are to send out notices and carry out correspondence that does not properly belong to other officers. Your letters will reflect the images of your club to the people of the community that contribute to club projects. Neatness, sensitivity and promptness are also obligations of your office.

You are the custodian of the clubs permanent records. You will keep the minutes of the meeting of the club and of the board, and submit to the club the minutes of the business meeting and the recommendations of the board. Give written copy of all club by-laws or Procedures changes to the Internal Support Systems Committee. Neat, accurate, factual, and clear minutes are the hallmarks of your office.

You are to handle all moneys related to the Project and Service Funds. Present written monthly statements on accounts to the club at the business meetings and serve as ex-officio member of the finance committee. Accurate and complete records of these club accounts are your responsibility.

You are to handle all moneys related to the General and Delegates Funds. Present written monthly statements on accounts to the club at the business meetings and serve as ex-officio member of the finance committee. Make remittances and complete official member forms as required, pay all bills authorized in budget or by club action, bill and collect all dues. Again accurate and complete records of these club accounts are your responsibility.

Your position is the second highest in the club. You will act in place of the President when she is absent and be there to support her. You are to be chair of the Programs of Service, sign checks with the president and Treasurer/ or assistant Treasurer, be an ex-officio member of all committees as designated by the club by-laws. Awareness, Advocacy and Actions are words that will become second nature to you for they are the buss words to Soroptimist Programs of Service Interesting and exciting programs, a positive role model and readiness to serve are the attributes of your office.

✦ Your gift is — a handful of SIFB Presidents business cards and a special bag from Ireland for you Soroptimist pin.
Jeanne you are returning this year as President and once again offering your enthusiasm, your love of Soroptimism, and your club, and most of all your Leadership. You position is the highest in the club. You shall direct the conduct of business of the club. You will represent your club at district meetings, region conference and SIA Convention in Taiwan. Your committees will further the ideals of Soroptimist striving to improve the lives of women and girls. You will be Soroptimist International of Fort Bragg’s representative in the community reflecting the spirit and character of Soroptimist. You will be fair, tactful, patient and wise, you will be a role model and a mentor, sharing of yourself and shaping the future of your club.

Soroptimist International of Fort Bragg members please rise. Your officers for 2008-2009 stand before you. You have heard their pledges. Your Gift of cooperation to your officers is necessary for the continued success of this club.
